352,870. Hatches. YOUNGER, A. S., 19, St. Vincent Place, Glasgow. Nov. 20, 1930, No. 34914. [Class 113 (i).] Metal hatch sections have downturned and inturned flanges 2, 3, the depth of the downturned flange being about equal to the height oj the hatch coaming extending above the internal hatch rest bars on which the inturned flanges rest. The sections may be strengthened by longitudinal and transverse ribs 6, 7 which also terminate in flanges to form a cellular structure.
