360,683. Ships' hatch-covers. COCKS, H., Bute Docks, Cardiff. Nov. 19, 1930, No. 34827. [Class 113 (i).] Wooden hatch covers are strengthened by metal or other reinforcements which may take the form of metal strips 13 interposed between the abutting edges of the individual planks 12 constituting the sections where they are secured by transverse bolts 14. Alternatively the channel irons 20, 19 or top and bottom strips may be attached to rebates in the ends of the planks. The cover so constructed may be in one piece to cover the hatch completely.
