Abstract
352,654. Endless chain conveyers. MARONE, A., Santa Vittoria d'Alba, Italy. May 24, 1930, No. 16080. [Class 78 (i).] In conveyer apparatus in which an endless chain 1 with arms 1a works in a slotted guide tube 4, the tube is made only slightly larger than the chain. The tube may be circular in cross section, Fig. 2, or triangular, Fig. 6. In the form shown in Fig. 2 for moving bottles &c. in one direction, the arms 1a carry flights 2 working in a trough 8, 8<1>. The tubes 4 are fixed in blocks 6 secured to a double tee-iron 5 supported on standards S. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), the trough is at the side of the tube. As shown in Fig. 5, troughs are provided for both runs of the conveyer. In Fig. 4, the arms la are provided with hooks instead of blades. In other forms, not illustrated, the lower run of a conveyer may be arranged to push articles along a trough, or the chain may carry containers instead of hooks.
