Abstract

309,624. Main, J. A., Main, G. A., and Main Ropeways, Ltd. Jan. 13, 1928. Endless-rope conveyers with articulated receptacles; auxiliary ropes.- A series of articulated trays 1 is supported on haulage ropes 2, 3 by feet 4, 5 provided on each side with depending pivoted arms 6 which normally hang down and prevent them from sliding off the ropes. The ropes are supported by idle pulleys 7, 8 mounted at the ends of a sleeper 9. Where the conveyer is to be deflected out of a straight line sleepers 10 are provided carrying idle pulleys 11, 12 whose'axes are arranged obliquely to the horizontal.
