Abstract

351,145. Tensioning driving-chains. PORTER, F., 6, Fletcher Fold, Manchester Road, Bury. April 16, 1930, No. 11982. [Class 80 (i).] In settler machines for hat-felting and in other machines in which a pair of chain sprockets d, e are raised and lowered, a driving-chain h passes over all the sprockets employed, including a tensioning-sprocket k on a spindle a slotted to engage a key in a bracket c on the frame. A spring b surrounds the spindle a and maintains the chain tension.
