350,990. Meter casings; distribution boards; binding-posts. DœTZMANN, H., 22, Turmbergstrasse, Durlach, Germany. Dec. 13, 1929, No. 38245. Convention date, Dec. 13, 1928. [Classes 37 and 38 (i).] Terminal blocks are arranged in groups on resilient dovetail rail mountings and are provided with contact strips for the connection, disconnection, and short-circuiting of testing-instruments, meters, transformers, &c., means being also provided for protecting the conductor leads where they enter the terminal blocks. In one arrangement, Fig. 10, current terminal blocks 1 are provided with connecting-links 7 and short-circuiting straps 6, voltage terminal blocks 8 being located adjacent thereto and having connecting-links 11. A bridging-strap may be located in a recess 20 in the voltage terminal blocks. Units of each group may be separated by insulating-pieces 3 or k. The sets of terminal blocks are mounted on a rail member 13 with an intermediate resilient plate 14, or the rail itself may be resilient. In order to prevent breakage of the conductor leads by the terminals, a resilient member 15, Fig. 8a, receives the leads and is engaged by the terminal screws.
