Abstract

350,892. Automatic guns. VICKERSARMSTRONGS, Ltd., LARSSON, C. A., and HIGSON, P. R., Vickers House, Broadway, Westminster. Feb. 10, 1930, No. 4435. [Class 92 (ii).] A drum magazine of the Lewis type is provided with front and rear projections A<5>, A<6> for engagement with spring-controlled catches E, E<1> on the gun casing to permit of attaching the magazine to the gun without the necessity of providing the usual spigot on the gun casing. In the magazine shown the cartridges are fed round helical grooves in the stationary pan portion A by means of a spring-actuated impeller on the cover B. Specification 350,913 is referred to.
