Abstract

[Class 75 (iii).] A pivotally-mounted wick cap d, adapted to operate the friction wheel e during its opening movement, is connected by a double-arm link h to a slidable member k engaging a spring m in a cavity in a pivoted operating member f so that the cap is normally held closed by the action of the spring and is opened rapidly by the spring when the member f is given an initial movement by the operator. The member k is mounted on a spindle p working in a slot l. In the closed position, the member f is in locking contact with the cap d at a point r above the spindles c, p.
