350,193. Controlling now of lubricant. MORRIS COMMERCIAL CARS, Ltd., HAMILL, W. W., and MEESE, J. W., Foundry Lane Works, Soho, Birmingham. May 14, 1930, No. 14787. [Class 12 (iii).] In an internal-combustion engine provided with a valve b for restricting the air supply to the carburetter at starting, the valve is controlled by a lever c<1> formed with a cam groove or projection c<2> co-operating with a rod d associated with a spring-pressed valve d<1> controlling the passage of oil from a pipe h, connected to the oiling system of the engine, to a passage f leading into the air conduit, so that whenever the lever c<1> is moved to restrict the air supply the valve d<1> is opened. A filter i and a restriction j are arranged between the pipe h and the valve d<1>. The valves are arranged within a housing a adapted to be secured to the air inlet pipe.
