Abstract
348,379. Sock &c. suspenders. AMON, A., Dorf Fischamend, Austria. May 12, 1930, No. 14546. Addition to 329,248, [Class 44, Fastenings, Lock &c.]. [Class 44.] The wire bow 11 which serves to retain the button 5 in the narrow end of the slot 6 as described in the parent Specification is mounted on lugs 9 on the back-plate 1, Fig. 1. The bow is retained in its fastening and released positions by its downturned ends 13 bearing resiliently against the plate 1. Alternatively, the bow may be retained by the resilience of its arms, which snap over one end or the other of a projection 15, Fig. 2, formed on each lug 9. The end 16 of each arm may be bent inwards as shown to prevent damage thereby. Modifications are described in which the lugs have wings 20, Fig. 3, or a tubular casing 23, Fig. 8, as a protection for the ends 19 of the bow.
