Class 44 A locking device for a cycle comprises a resilient open sided band 12 adapted to serve as a trouser clip and formed at its two ends 10, 10 with holes 14, 14 adapted detachably to receive the hasp 15 of a padlock 16 separate from the clip, whereby the band can be passed round one of the frame members of the cycle and round one or more spokes of one of the wheels and locked by the padlock so as to secure the cycle against unauthorised use. As shown, the band 12 is covered for the greater part of its length with a flexible covering 11.
