Abstract

Tab ends and fittings; fastening wearing- apparel.-A fitting for stocking suspenders, braces, and the like comprises a pivoted jaw clip 4 supported by a ring 1, from a plate 12 attached to the strap of the braces or the like. The jaws of the clip are maintained open by a spring and are closed by the rotation of a cam-ring 10. A projection 18 on the clip engages a depression in the cam-ring at the open-jaw position shown in Fig. 2. A tongue 15 is struck up from the plate 12 and acts as a spring stop against disengagement of the ring 1 from a hook 14 on the plate 1. The jaws of the clip are lined with a material suitable for engaging fabric and are roughened. To allow rotation of the cam-ring 10, the ring 1 is arranged in a groove therein.
