Oct. 30, 1929, No. 32981. Convention date, Oct. 30, 1928. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 40 (v).] The reaction in a generating thermionic valve 10 is produced by the internal filament - anode capacity 26. A circuit 22 tuned below the desired frequency is connected between the grid 13 and filament 11, and a circuit 17 tuned above the required frequency is connected between the plate 12 and grid 13. With this circuit no grid bias is necessary. An aerial one-half wavelength long is inductively coupled to the circuit 17, Fig. 3 (not shown), or the circuit 17 is replaced by two extended conductors each slightly longer than a quarter wave-length and connected respectively to the plate and grid, Fig. 2 (not shown).
