Addition to 318,836, [Class 122 (i), Engine and like cylinders &c.] [Class 122 (i).] In means for securing a connecting-rod to a piston, the gudgeon pin oscillates in trunnions B<1> of a tubular hub B secured to the piston. A screw-threaded stud D connected to or integral with the hub is screwed into the piston A, and is locked by a nut E inserted in a recess in the piston. Washers may be interposed between the hub and the piston in the case of shorter connecting-rods. The washers constitute a gastight joint. Cooling-ribs A2 may be provided on the interior of the piston crown.
