344,611. Electric incandescent lamps. ECK, J. VAN, 316B, Nieuwe Binnenweg, and FEKKES, H., 13A, Middellandplein, both in Rotterdam, Holland. Jan. 29, 1930, No. 3071. Convention date, Aug. 9, 1929. [Class 39 (ii).] In an electric lamp bulb the part of which behind the filament is silvered to form a reflector the shape of the silvered portion is that generated by the revolution of a parabola about a line parallel to its axis, the filament being arranged in the circle generated by the focus of the parabola and a considerable portion of parabolic surface occurring between this circle and the axis of rotation. In the arrangement shown the portion a of the bulb is that generated by the rotation of the parabola, the remainder of the section consisting of a straight portion b and a closing portion c. The filament e is supported in the appropriate position by wires g.
