Convention date, Aug. 8, 1932. [Class 39 (ii)] In an electric incandescent lamp for use in a motor car headlight, of the kind provided with an internal reflector, the section of the reflector normal to the longitudinal axis of the lamp has the shape of a V with limbs d, e, Fig. 6, forming with each other an angle larger than 90‹, preferably an angle of 105‹. The radius of curvature of the rounded surface f, Fig. 7, by means of which the bottom of the reflector is united with the edge of the latter is made relatively small, for example 4 m.m., the form of the reflector being such that an increased illumination is obtained from the lamp. In the example the reflector c, Fig. 1, is mounted beneath the auxiliary filament b of a lamp bulb provided with a main filament a.
