Abstract

389,316. Electric incandescent lamp bulbs. ECK, J. VAN, 231B, Mathenesserdijk, and FEKKES, H., 13B, Middellandplein, both in Rotterdam, Holland. May 23, 1932, No. 14608. [Class 39 (ii).] In a lamp such as that described in Specification 344,611, the bulb of which has a reflecting portion of the form generated by a parabola rotating about a line parallel to its axis, the diameter of the filament is less than the inner diameter of the annular reflecting portion of the bulb. The Figure shows such a lamp, the portion all, b of the bulb being silvered. The filament 5 is carried on a stem 4 supporting a reflecting disc 7. The portion of the bulb below the silvering is formed as a truncated cone, with a convex bottom. The plane of the lower edge of the silvering may be inclined to the axis of the lamp.
