[Class 38 (iii).] The control of a rotary printing machine, in which cylinders 1 .. 4, Fig. 1, are driven selectively by motors 13 .. 16 through disengagable shaft. couplings 5 .. 8, 10 .. 12, 21 .. 24, is arranged so that the control panels 42 .. 45, Fig. 3, are appropriately associated with the motor controllers 33 . . 36 by means of switches 46 .. 49, 54 .. 56, 38 . . 41 corresponding to the shaftcouplings. These switches are either located adjacent to the respective couplings or are remotely controlled therefrom, by wire cables or pushbuttons. Furthermore they may be positively dependent upon the respective couplings.
