Abstract
343,648. Cast iron. BORNAND, E., 112, Route de Florissant, and SCHLAEPFER, H. A., 13, Rue Verdaine, both in Geneva, Switzerland. Dec. 14, 1929, No. 38398. Convention date, Dec. 21, 1928. [Class 72.] The metal in the upper part of a mould is heated by a high-frequency current passing through a conductor which is lowered into the mould. The conductor may take the form of a coiled tube 5 traversed by cooling fluid and arranged in a body 2 which may have a recess 10, Fig. 3, to receive deoxidizers or other materials to act on the molten metal.
