Addition to 343,648. [Class 39 (iii).] In keeping th e metal in the upper part of a a mould hot, as d escribed in the parent Specification, the heating body 2 is arranged in the mould 7 directly above the surface 8 of the metal. In a modification the conductor may take the form of a flat spiral 4 embedded in a disc-shaped body 2.
