Abstract
341,967. Induction furnaces. BORNAND, E., 112, Route de Florissant, and SCHLAEPFER, H. A., 13, Rue Verdaine, both in Geneva, Switzerland. Oct. 25, 1929, No. 32507. Convention date, Nov. 3, 1928. [Class 39 (iii).] The charge is heated and mixed by means of a high frequency coil embedded in a refractory body and supported independently of the furnace, the coil being suspended for vertical and horizontal movement. By means of a coil 7 embedded in a body 5 having a recess 6 light substances fed on to the surface of the bath may be carried below the surface. Specification 312,063, [Class 39 (iii), Heating by electricity], is referred to.
