Abstract

Resorcinol-formaldehyde condensation products.-A binder for fibrous materials is made by mixing resorcinol and formaldehyde solution and whilst heating gradually adding sodium sulphite; the mixture is then quickly cooled. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 222,503, [Class 2 (iii), Dyes &c.].
