Abstract

A cellular cement-asbestos composition is prepared by mixing Portland cement, sand, water, and fibrous asbestos which has been blown with air immediately prior to mixing with the other ingredients so that air is entrapped in the fibres. A suitable mix is 1-4 parts by volume of blown asbestos, 1-2 parts of Portland cement, and 2-4 parts of sand. These are kneaded with a suitable amount of water for use.
