Abstract
A coloured concrete mix is obtained by incorporating coloured cement of the Portland type with an aggregate consisting of calcined flint in an amount at least sufficient to combine with the lime set free during the setting. The products do not effloresce and are resistant to sea water. In an example 1 part of coloured cement is incorporated with 2 1/2 parts of graded calcined flint. The Provisional Specification describes also the use of activated silica.
