Abstract

341,369. Spectacles. CONTINENTAL OPTICAL FRAME CO., 97, Runyon Street, Newark, New Jersey, U.S.A. May 5, 1930, No. 13800. Convention date, Jan. 29. [Class 97 (i).] The mounts for the lenses of spectacles are provided with a covering plate, which is ornamented in such a manner that when cut the line of contact of the lugs is indiscernible. The ornamental covering plate 7 is secured to the front faces of the lugs 2, 3 while the latter are separated as shown in Fig. 3, a part 8 of the plate being left plain and positioned over the space between the lugs. The plate 7 is then cut centrally removing the plain portion 8, the design on the two parts meeting as shown in Fig. 5.
