339,389. Defrance, H. July 12, 1929, [Convention date]. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Wireless tuning-apparatus, adjustment devices for.-A device for radio tuning devices comprises differential bevel gearing operated in either direction in combination with abutments-permit-- ting movement in one direction only of the driven member for tuning purposes, return movement of the control being effected by a spring. As shown, bevel gears 2, 4, 6, 7 are mounted in a loose cage 3, the driven spindle 8 turning always in the direction of the arrow 15. In one direction of rotation of the driving-spindle 1, the shaft 5 abuts against a fixed stop 11, and in the other direction, the gear, cage and movable stop 9 drive solidly with the spindle 8. A spring 12 takes up backlash and returns the parts on movement of the control knob to its zero position. A wavelength change-over switch is actuated by the tuning control.
