Abstract

337,674. Evans, F. W. Dec. 31, 1929. Brake mechanism.-The end of the inner cable b of a Bowden wire is coupled to the operated part g, which may as shown be the lever of an internal expanding cycle or motor-cycle brake by an intermediate quickly detachable part h. The cable end has attached to it, such as by soldering, a shackle c through which passes a pinned bolt d, and the part g carries a shackle f attached thereto by a pinned bolt e. The intermediate piece has an end slot h<2> engaging the bolt d, and passes through the. shackle f, its grooved end h<1> being thereafter hooked over the cable as shown.
