Brake mechanism.- In inverted-lever attachments for cycle handle-bars &c. for use with Bowden mechanism, the conical seating a, by means of which the cable f and outer tube d are guided into position during the threading- operation, leads to a hole e of sufficient size for the passage of the soldered-on nipple f<1>, but smaller than the endcap d<1> of the tube d. In modifications, the conical seating a is formed in separate members (e.g. sheet-metal stampings) attached to the plug b<1> secured in the end of the handle-bar.
