Brake mechanism. - In brakes of the type having an arch of spring metal the lower ends of which are pivoted to bell crank levers which are pivoted to the fork blades or stays, the brake blocks are carried at each end of a bolt screwed into the upper end of the bell-crank lever 9, the bolt being locked by the lock-nut 15, and the two blocks being .secured respectively between the head 14 of the bolt and the bell-crank lever, and between the lock-nut 15 and a nut 18. The bell-crank lever is pivoted upon a stud 10 screwed at both ends, one end being screwed into the clip 12 mounted on the fork or stay 2, and the bell-crank lever being secured between a loose collar 13 on the stud and a nut.
