[Class 80 (iii)] [See also Group XXXI] A lever D for actuating the wire cable H of a change-speed gear, or for like purposes, is pivoted at d to a plate A secured, for example, by a clip B to a cycle tube C. The plate has a slot E concentric with the pivot d, and the slot has enlargements at e, e<1>. Riveted to lever D is a stud F having a part f nearest the lever of a diameter to work in the slot E; a part f<2> adapted only to enter the enlargements e, e<1> ; and a head f<1>. The lever is urged away from the plate by a spring G against the action of which the lever is moved laterally to permit of its being actuated.
