Abstract

337,066. Henshall, H. L., Davies, J., and Marshall, H. April 11, 1930. Self-driving plant.-In a self-driving plant of the electric type, an electric motor 1 drives two generators 2, 3 through gearing 4, 5. The whole output of the generator 2 is fed back to the motor l to drive it, and a portion of the output of the generator 3, as determined by a resistance 9, is taken for the same purpose. It is stated that current for external use may be taken from the leads 10. A starter battery 12 is provided. A modified method of wiring this battery is shown.
