Abstract

Driving-arrangements.-The rotor g of a watercurrent motor encloses the driven dynamo, the field magrets q being secured to the interior of the rotor, and the armature v being rotated by gearing x, s, r. The current is led by brushes 1 and slip-rings 2 to insulated conductors 5, enclosed in a screen 4 of stream-line cross-section, and thence to brushes 3 and slip-rings 7 on the fixed pillar a.
