Mineral and tar oils, purifying; fats and fatty oils, extracting by solvents.-Dry-cleaning solvent is cleaned for re-use by passage from a pipe 17 to a tube 13 from which it issues by openings 18 to rise through caustic solution A and "Darco," activated charcoal, potash, or other cleanser B in the tank 10; it is withdrawn by a drain-head 27 and a pipe 30 to a tube 20 from which it rises through water or lye W and calcium chloride crystals E in a tank 19. The tank 19 is charged with water or lye through a pipe 25. A vent pipe 15 is fitted to the tube 13. Specification 333,217 is referred to.
