Abstract

334,025. Schroder, A. July 23, 1929. Storm lamps.-To reduce the conduction of heat from the burner to the fuel container of an incandescent storm lantern, the upper parts are supported by tubes from the container passing outside the light-enclosing cylinder, one of the tubes serving also as the fuel supply tube. The fuel supply tube 3 and the additional supporting tube 7 are connected to the fuel container in an easily detachable manner and are joined at the top by a pipe 2 forming the vaporizer. To the mixing chamber 13 are screwed air supply pipes 15 passing through a chimney 14 and opening into an air chamber enclosed by a perforated cap 18 detachably mounted on the chimney casing 14 and pressed on to a cylinder 4 by means of a bayonet joint 20. A lamp tray 19 comprises an outer groove 31 for supporting the cylinder 4 and a starting cup 22 and rests on a perforated ring 26 frictionally mounted on the fuel container.
