Explosives. - Diazodinitrophenol is used in blasting detonators as a top charge over a base charge which may itself contain the same substance. An oxidizing salt such as potassium perchlorats, potassium chlorate, or ammonium perchlorate may be added to this substance in the top charge or ;n the base charge. Other substances such as tetryl, trinitrotoluene, and picric acid may be used for the base charge. Specification 333,534 is referred to.
