Abstract
8129. Aubert, A., and Kristensen, S. March 1, [Convention date]. Explosives.-Relates to explosives containing cast or pressed nitro compounds such as trinitrotoluene and picrid acid, and oxygen-yielding substances such as metallic nitrates, chlorates, and perchlorates, and consists in using the oxygenyielding substances in the form of cast or hardened globules or angular pieces spaced sufficiently apart to permit easy transmission of detonation. The explosive may, for example, contain 25 to 95 per cent of trinitrotoluene, pieric acid, ammonium picrate, or tetranitromethylaniline and 75 to 5 per cent of ammonium nitrate or perchlorate, or potassium nitrate or perchlorate in the form specified above. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 6664/86, 11,400/01, and 26,146/04.
