810,045. Explosives; blasting. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Nov. 23, 1956 [Feb. 3, 1956], No. 3428/56. Classes 9(2) and 68(1) The explosive charge of a substantially vertical bore hole is formed in situ by introducing as loose solid particles the solid portion of the ammonium nitrate blasting explosive composition and as liquid the non-explosive organic liquid fuel portion so that the liquid is distributed through the loose solid particles. Various explosive compositions are disclosed. The compositions involve the association of ammonium nitrate, paraffin oil, bitumen, monitrotoluene and orthonitrotoluene in various combinations and proportions. Specification 785,140 is referred to.
