Abstract

333,247. General Electric Co., Ltd., and Bird, H. May 7, 1929. Grid resistances. - A resistance element is formed from a plate 1 by pressing a spiral split 7 in it and moving the centre portion 3 out of the plane of the remainder of the plate. For mounting into a bank insulated rods are passed through the holes 2, 3, 4, each plate being separated from neighbouring plates by insulating washers 27, 29 or by metal collars 28, these being arranged to place the plates either in series or in paralled. Some plates have extensions 12 formed with holes 5 for connecting conductors to the bank.
