Windscreens.-A vehicle windscreen has detachable panels secured to their supports by means of screws or the like passing through flanges on the frames of each panel into the supports or parts carried by the supports. In one form, the screen has two tapered side panels J receding at an angle from the main front portion which is divided horizontally into normally fixed lower panels A, A<1> and swinging upper panels B, B<1> and has a central pillar C through which passes a rod on which the upper panels pivot, and side pillars G supporting the side panels. On each of the frames F adjacent the pillars C, G is a flange, the flanges K on the lower panels, Figs. 4 and 5, making contact with the pillars C, G, while the narrow flanges K<1> on the swinging upper panels, Figs. 2 and 3, act as cover or water plates. Strips M are secured to the central pillar C, Figs. 3 and 5, and the lower frames F are secured to these strips, as by bolts N. The side pillars G are of circular cross-section and in addition to the strips M, strips P, Figs. 2 and 4, shaped to fit the surface of the pillar, are interposed between the two strips M and the pillar and are fastened to the pillar.
