504,212. Vehicle hoods. HEMMING, R.. HEMMING, R. W., and WORRALL, C. Jan. 15, 1938, No. 1381. [Class 108 (i)] A carriage 3 for the hoop-stick of a foldable hood, as used on road vehicles, water craft, and the like, has at least two pairs of rollers 4 and 5, with axes at right-angles to each other, running in channels 6 and 7, the vertical rollers 5 being spring-pressed against opposite walls of their channel 7. Preferably the rollers are mounted at the ends of a rocker bar 5e fulcrumed to the carriage at 5f and controlled by the spring 12. The horizontal rollers are pressed against the bottom of their channel by the spring 13.
