Abstract

327,939. Stevens, C. H. Sept. 10, 1929. Bollards.-A bollard constructed from mild steel parts comprises a tubular body 1 with welded on cap plate 4 and inner stiffening tube 2. The base comprises two plates 9, 10 spaced by distance tubes 13 which are aligned with holes in the plates to accommodate securing bolts or rivets'. The base plates are apertured to receive the bodies 1 of the bollards, the lower parts of which are flared at 8 to engage with corresponding flares on the base plate. The bollards are laterally stiffened by a U-shaped member 17. In a modification the top of the bollard is adjusted by screws for ventilating purposes.
