Abstract

327,586. Smith, S. April 18, 1929. Fixed-abutment type; packing drums, vanes, abutments, and the like.-Oil is supplied from a reservoir under the delivery passage to a rotary compressor of the eccentric rotor and radially sliding vane type through jet orifices in the rotor at predetermined intervals of rotation of the rotor. The oil is forced, under the discharge pressure, from a separating chamber 2 through a pipe 29 to a duct 28 in a spigot 14 of a casing end cover 9 with which a duct 30 in the rotor periodically registers whereby the oil passes into the working space and to the parts to be lubricated. Spacer loops 22 encircling the rotor shaft and situated in recesses 19 in the rotor ends maintain diametrically opposite vanes 21 apart and have pins 24 bearing on springs housed in the vanes.
