Abstract
325,141. Hermes, C. H. March 13, 1929. Wringers. - A wringing- appliance comprises a cranked shaft 14 rotated in bearings in a bracket 1 clamped to the side of the wash-tub. The shaft is provided with a hook 16 at its forward end over which the clothes &c. are engaged, the clothes also being held by the other hand of the operator. A spring clutch 17 prevents reverse rotation of the shaft. Longitudinal movement of the shaft is prevented by split pins 12, 13, which pass through the. shaft and bear against the lugs 5 and 6 of the bracket 1.
