Reversing-gearing.-In a power-driven mangle &c. in which the bottom roller spindle 14 is selectively driven in either direction from a vertical drive-shaft 4 through the bevel train 5, 10 or 15, 10 the clutch member 6 which is actuated by an eccentric 8 and handle 11 is restored to neutral position on release of the handle by springs 29, 30. The springs may be replaced by a single external or internal spring which may be secured at one end to the gear casing and at the other to a pin on the lever or its hub.
