Abstract

323,878. Merzinger, E. Nov. 28, 1928. Buckles. - A pressbutton fastening member particularly for boots, shoes, or gloves, is adjustably secured to the material 6 by two superposed plates having apertures through which the material is threaded, one of the plates being integral with the fastening member. Fig. 1 shows a press-button socket 1 integral with a plate 2, in conjunction with a second plate 5, the apertures being stamped out of plate 2 and formed by stamping up loops from plate 5. In a modification, Fig. 6, the apertures are stamped out of both plates and the apertures in the two plates coincide as shown. Modifications are described in which the socket is formed on the upper plate and extends downwards through a central opening in the lower plate.
