Abstract
323,148. Hopkins, C. Y., and Cartland & Son, Ltd., J. Feb. 12, 1929. Hinge and pivot pins. -A hinge pin b is adjustable in and out of its socket member by means of geared pinions a, a<1>, the pinion a' having an internal thread which engages with the thread of the non-rotatable pivot. The upper part of the pivot is square in cross-section and its sides engage the sides of a similarly-shaped hole in the casing c<1>. The pinion a is provided with a spigot having a cross-cut for its rotation by a suitable tool. The device is suitable for use in connection with floor springs.
