323,113. Jones, F. W. Sefton-, (Lonza Elektrizitõtswerke und Chemische Fabriken Akt.-Ges.). Dec. 24, 1928. Ammonium formate in the solid state is obtained by adding dry calcium formate to a solution of ammonium formate, saturated at about -10‹ C., and then adding ammonium carbonate or ammonia and carbon dioxide at temperatures up to 100‹ C., when solid ammonium formate separates out. The mother liquor is used in a new operation.
