Abstract

Shoots.-In order to ensure a uniform supply of coal or other material to the weighing receptacle of an automatic weighing-machine an inclined rotating shoot is interposed between the outlet from the bunker or supply hopper and the means for controlling the supply to the weighing receptacle. The rotating shoot 4 connecting the bunker 3 with the receptacle 5 embodying the usual feed gates, rests on rollers 7, 15 and is rotated from a pulley 12 by means of gearing 4b. The positions of the rollers 7 may be adjusted to vary the inclination of the shoot.
