Fuel, feeding.-Apparatus for feeding powdered material, adapted in the form described for feeding powdered fuel to a burner or injector, comprises a continuously or intermittently rotated cylinder C arranged in the base of the fuel hopper A, and an inner fixed cylinder D concentric with it and provided with apertures d opposite to corresponding discharge openings a<2> in the base of the hopper. The air may be supplied under pressure to the interior of the cylinder D, or, where an ejector such as K<1> is employed, may be at atmospheric pressure, in which case a rotary ported valve may be arranged concentrically in the cylinder D.
