Springs, arrangement of.-A spring suspension for side-cars of motor and other cycles comprises a substantially-rectangular frame a<1> having at its rear end two vertical members a adapted to support at c a detachable transverse leaf spring d connected to an axle e carrying the side-car wheel and mud-guard by means of a lug f, the axle e being reversible, in order to enable the side-car to be changed from the left-hand to the righthand side of the cycle or vice versa. The other end k of the axle e is provided with means for attachment to the cycle, and the frame a<1> is provided with detachable arms g, h, j i for attachment to the cycle, these arms being transferred to the other side member of the frame a<1> when the side-car is changed from one side of the cycle to the other. The axle e is held in the correct position for alignment by means of a detachable tie-rod l, which may also serve as a stand. The rear of the body is suspended by means of arms n supported by coil springs m from the upper ends of the members a, the springs m being either enclosed by the body or arranged outside it. The wheel and mud-guard may be bolted to the lug on the end of the axle e in such a way as to be readily releaseable to enable the chassis and body to be passed through a narrow doorway.
